Jacqueline (Jacquie) Greff is Tonal Vision’s President and the producer for many of our video projects. Although she is a perfectionist by nature, Jacquie believes in the superior power of a great story, music, art and relationships, and works hard to foster them.
Jacquie Greff’s Early Career
As a young woman growing up in a small Iowa town, Jacquie wanted to be taken seriously and have a career, so she turned to education, earning a BA in Chemistry summa cum laude, then an MBA from Arizona State. She joined Procter & Gamble in R&D in Cincinnati, OH eventually transferring to Hunt Valley, MD. In her 21 years at P&G, Jacquie worked on projects as diverse as developing the original Liquid Tide, getting FDA approval for the fat substitute Olestra, and developing a computerized global product approval system. During that period, she also raised her son Shawn, supported her husband Kraig Greff in his music career, and finished her law degree at the University of Maryland.
Joining Tonal Vision
As a relatively young “retiree”, Jacquie finally felt free to choose the life she wanted. She rejected the option to set up a law practice or doing corporate regulatory consulting. Instead, she joined Kraig in the family business, Tonal Vision, expanding it into video production. To “learn the ropes” in this new field, she earned her MA in Producing Film & Video from American University. She grew her network by volunteering Board President and Treasurer of TIVA (Television, Internet & Video Assn. of DC), and as the Board President of WIFV (Women in Film & Video DC).
Jacquie Greff Today
Jacquie worked with her husband Kraig for 20 years to build Tonal Vision into a respected video and music production company. Unfortunately, in 2021 the couple were in an auto accident which resulted in Kraig’s death. Without Kraig’s music, Jacquie closed Tonal Vision’s recording studio and refocused the business on visual storytelling. We are currently in postproduction for a new documentary, “Accordion Étouffée: The Kraig Greff Story”, which will chronicle Kraig’s life and career.
